The 2008 Shepherd of the Hills Women's Retreat was April 25-27, at La Casa de Maria Retreat and Conference Center, an interfaith nonprofit facility at the base of the Santa Ynez Mountains in southern Santa Barbara. Situated on 26 acres of beautiful oaks, fruit trees, meadows and gardens, the environment was peaceful and unique.

The theme this year was: Life in Christ--Good to the Last Drop. The featured speaker was Rev. Chaime Delkeskamp, with Bree Noble leading worship music. Rev. Delkeskamp is a Methodist pastor married to a Lutheran pastor, with three young children. She focused on rhythms of grace, and worked that into the retreat theme. Bree Noble is a Christian singer/songwriter and inspirational speaker, and is a classically trained singer. She was born legally blind, so she's learned to trust her sight to God, instead of her physical sight.
