Shepherd of the Hills offers three worship services to accommodate our increasing membership and to offer different worship options to the community. The Sunday morning schedule is as follows:
8:00 a.m. - Contemplative Worship
9:30 a.m. - Modern Worship
11:00 a.m. - Traditional Worship
The Contemplative Worship Service is Shepherd of the Hills' latest Sunday morning offering. This service is a worship experience featuring the great hymns of the faith with weekly communion, sermon, prayer and reflection. This 45 minute service is a great way to begin a busy Sunday.
The Modern Worship Service is a fluid, informal service filled with exclusively contemporary praise music, led by our Worship Leader, Aaron Flores. In addition, prayer stations within the worship space impart personal, interactive elements, such as the Eucharist, intercession, and message response, to those who are led to experience them.
The Traditional Worship Service is the formal liturgical experience of our cherished Methodist ritual. This service has elements such as processionials, the Doxology, and sung responses. The music in this service is drawn from traditional repertoires, including hymns and classical works. Music leadership is provided by a variety of ensembles, soloists, and instrumentalists.

A day retreat on Taizé, including times of quiet and prayer, will be held at Shepherd of the Hills on Saturday, September 18 from 9:30 am to 3:30 pm.
"Love, and say it with your life" were the words of Brother Roger of Taizé, writing about his strong desire for these words to be "illuminated from within" persons who live the way of reconciliation and compassionate love. Come join us for a day of prayer, reflecting on the life and teachings of this holy man, prayerfully singing our way to the heart of the matter in the tradition of Taizé. Retreat leaders are Sisters Margaret Scharf OP and Maryanne Huepper CSJ. Complete information including a registration form is in a downloadable pdf file:
